McAfee Site Advisor Conflict with SuperChat FTC Chat Services has uncovered a known conflict between
McAfee's Site Advisor and SuperChat. As a temporary work-around, users can
simply disable the Site Advisor browser helper without damaging McAfee, Site
Advisor or SuperChat. FTC intends to release a new Chat Control in the
near future. Several issues, including the Site Advisor conflict will be
resolved with the next release.
1. From the Control Panel double click on the Internet Options icon as depicted above. That will bring up the Internet Properties Menu as shown below:
2. On the Internet Properties Menu click on the Programs tab, which will change the menu as shown next:
3. On the Programs tab select Manage add-ons as highlighted above, which will take you to the following menu:
4. Using the scroll bar on the right of the Manage Add-ons menu, scroll down until you see the SiteAdvisor published by McAfee, Inc. Highlight SiteAdvisor as shown above and click Disable under Setting as shown above. Then click the OK button and completely close out and restart your browser. Congratulations! SuperChat will now function free of the McAfee Site Advisor conflict.
